Monitoring Progress

…regular and rigorous monitoring…

At Lansdowne, it is a central tenet of our educational ethos that students are afforded more freedom in and responsibility for their learning. Whilst we do dispense with any of the rules and regulations of traditional education, we demand high standards of personal performance and academic achievement. To this end, we ensure that regular and rigorous monitoring of each student’s progress takes place, ensuring they reach their full potential.

At our College, each student’s academic and personal progress is monitored and supervised by their Personal Tutor (click here for more on the Personal Tutoring System) and regular formal and informal meetings between student and Personal Tutor ensures that any potential or existing problems can be quickly identified and remedied. We also believe that a collaborative and communicative relationship with parents is essential and so we ensure that feedback is regular and thorough through our reporting system and parents evenings.
