We lay down firm guidelines in relation to the quantity of homework set, speed of return to  student and quality of feedback provided. All exam-based assignments are graded according to exam board criteria and all marks recorded in record books. The amount of homework varies depending on the level and length of the course, but in general terms, students are asked to do as many hours outside the classroom as in it.

Students failing to hand in assignments can be put on extra Supervised Study Periods at their Personal Tutor’s discretion.

Homework assignments may be differentiated to accommodate the varying needs and skills of different students; however, all students are encouraged to read beyond the syllabus and set texts.
