We firmly believe that it follows naturally that the more interactive and more personalised the learning experience is, the more enjoyable and successful the learning outcomes. It is this central philosophy that guides our policy on class sizes.

At Lansdowne, we have an average class size of 6 students.



This is a fundamental factor in the outstanding education we provide. Not only do our small class sizes foster a sense of collaboration and shared aims, breaking down the traditional barriers between teacher and pupil, they also afford the time for tutors to be able to devote a great deal of attention to tailoring learning to individual students’ needs. It allows the time to build on students’ strengths and address their weaknesses. This individualised teaching prevents students from ‘getting lost’ or overlooked and places their specific, personal learning goals at the centre of the classroom activity.
