Lansdowne staff members run student clubs in Debating, Film Appreciation, Photography, Computing and Games.

Debating Society involves teams exploring and presenting conflicting viewpoints on historical and contemporary moral, philosophical and political issues: for example, the legitimacy of the 'War on Terror' or medical ethics and biotechnology.

Film Appreciation tends to be based around a time period, genre, theme or country: for example, the 1930's, film noir, war, or post-revolutionary Soviet Union. Apart from watching the film, students learn about surrounding issues such as cinematographic style, historical context, sub-text, etc.

Photography club allows Lansdowne students to learn digital or traditional SLR photographic techniques, digital post-production and effects and printing.

Computing Society allows students access to a variety of software applications which might be used to create websites, animations or databases, and visual and audio editing.

Lastly, Games Club - for fun or competition - offers chess, backgammon, bridge or any other games students care to suggest.
