A Levels

…the ideal place to study for your A Levels in London…

Subjects

Chemistry and Biology are the two most important A Level subjects for students wishing to apply for either Medicine or Dentistry at an A Level college London.  Although students can be flexible in their other subject choices, it is advisable to have Physics or Mathematics at the AS level especially for Veterinary Medicine. But, whatever the choice, top grades are required across all of the A Level exams.

Length of Course

First time students may do either: a two year course; or a one year course; or any combination of the two. Retake students may do either: a one term intensive course from September to January; or a two term course from January to June; or a one year course from September to June; or any combination of these three.

Achieving the Grade:

Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and related subjects are highly responsible professions and the sense of responsibility should start now.  Students must be able to discuss what they have studied and present work well. At Lansdowne College London we provide Exam Practice Periods for each subject on a fortnightly basis so that the student’s knowledge and ability to apply the knowledge are tested regularly.  One of our students achieved 600/600 for Biology, indicating perfection is possible even in a difficult subject such as Biology.

Process

The Medic Programme at Lansdowne helps the students achieve the top grades through intensive, high quality and dedicated teaching and hard work from both staff and, most importantly, the students themselves. The courses are designed to be equally effective for those who need to retake to achieve top grades and for first time students who are capable of getting top grades.  A well established Personal Tutor system and a close relationship with parents help achieve this successfully.
