One Year A Level

…helping students to substantially improve their grades…

These courses cover the complete AS and A2 syllabus in one year and are designed for students taking subjects for the first time or students wishing to retake subjects over a full year.

First Time or New Subjects

Some students realise that they have made a wrong subject choice and welcome the opportunity of studying a completely new subject over one year.  In certain cases it may be possible to take two or three A levels in one year.  Such students, however, would need to demonstrate at interview that they have the ability to do so.  These courses are not designed to replace the traditional two year A Level courses for post-GCSE students.

Retaking

Lansdowne has traditionally been associated with success in helping students to retake their A Levels and substantially improve their grades. The one year course is advisable for those students whose subject knowledge is weak or those who need to improve their grades in more than one subject. Realistic advice and help will be given to students at interview about the options available to them.

Weekly Timetable

  • 9 periods per subject.
