Examination Practice
...knowledgeable confidence and practiced assurance...
Examinations obviously form a crucial part of a student’s academic programme and their confident and successful negotiation is the ultimate culmination of what we do at Lansdowne. We place great emphasis on thorough preparation for these exams and consequently, there is a weekly exam practice period (EPP) in which each student sits a test under timed conditions. These EPPs take place in the hall, where the students will eventually sit their public exams. The cumulative effect of all their EPPs is that each student becomes entirely comfortable and used to both the content and procedure of examinations and therefore the usual anxiety with sitting public examinations is considerably reduced.
Our students enter their final examination with knowledgeable confidence and practiced assurance.

Mock Examinations
Each student will also sit a mock examination in each of the subjects they will be examined in, at the beginning of January for January exams and at the beginning of the summer term for the May and June exams. As per EPPs, these also take place in the hall under examination conditions, further familiarising our students with the examination process.
