International Students

Lansdowne welcomes students from all over the world, from Australia to Zimbabwe, lured over land and sea by the opportunity to study at our outstanding college and then go on to the best Universities in Britain and around the globe. We admit a small and limited number of overseas applicants each year and international students comprise around 15% of our overall student body.
Whilst most international students studying with us will arrive with excellent English (we require a minimum IELTS score of 5.5). For those students who require additional help, we provide a comprehensive English as a Second Language programme.
We recognise that moving to and studying in a new country can be daunting as well as exciting and so we do everything we can to make our international students feel welcome and settle in quickly. The close community at Lansdowne facilitates this and regular meetings with their Personal Tutor ensure that this transition is smooth. We also have a very useful reference document for our overseas students to download.
