Over the years, many Lansdowne students have gained prestigious places at Oxford and Cambridge or have chosen to study abroad at institutions such as Yale, Harvard and the Sorbonne. A good proportion of Lansdowne’s teaching staff hold graduate or post-graduate degrees from Oxbridge. Lansdowne has two dedicated staff members responsible for advising and guiding prospective candidates through Oxbridge applications.
Students will be advised on the appropriateness of their degree course and college choice, aided in writing a personal statement which meets the criteria Oxbridge expects, given thorough, long term preparatory tuition for admissions tests and intensive interview practice. Due to the large number of Oxbridge graduates amongst Lansdowne's teaching staff, tutors with firsthand experience of Oxbridge can offer subject-specific preparation in Law, Classics, English, Maths, Chemistry, Medicine, History, Philosophy, Religious Education alongside many other subjects.
