Science & ICT
Science and ICT is a major department at Lansdowne College. We offer a range of courses at GCSE, AS and A level. At GCSE, separate sciences in Biology, Chemistry and Physics along with Science and Additional Science qualifications are offered. The International GCSE (IGCSE) has been introduced for the first time in Computer Science this year. AS and A levels are offered in Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT. The Science subjects are very popular as National Curriculum core subjects at GCSE and as key subjects for students choosing medical and related careers.
Choosing one or more science subject at AS and A level provides academic rigour and balance. These options are well respected by universities. The department is staffed by highly experienced tutors, many of whom have worked in a range of schools and understand the national issues and trends in education.
Many of our students have been highly successful and secured places on prestigious courses at university.
